Hey everyone I'm just popping in to share some Blogger changes with you. Some of you may have noticed that every time you leave a comment on my blog, or even in a private DT blog and possibly other places where you never used to have fill in a CAPTCHA, that you are suddenly required to prove you are not a robot. Well I can guarantee with this blog anyway, that word verification is still OFF.
From the research I've done, it apparently has to do with the third party cookie filters in regards to the recently added Google One account logins. The suggestions were to enable (stop filtering) "third party cookies", in our browser and on our computer. Now I don't know about you, but I'm not really comfortable with changing that feature. I was secretly hoping Google would fix things. HOWEVER, I have just learned there is a way around it. Thanks to Helen from Crafting Helen, who suggested to just leave the CAPTCHA area empty and simply click the 'publish your comment' button anyway. So, far I've done exactly that on four separate comments I've left on different blogs and they have all been published.
Just thought I'd share this with you in case you're experiencing the same frustrations. Hopefully, Blogger won't realize the mistake and we'll continue to be able to it this way.

My thought: I left a comment on her blog and did not write the caption - the comment went through. So If you don't like the word caption - just ignore it - most blogs will let it go through if they have their verifications turned off - those that really have verifications may not go through without typing the caption though. I think for now I will leave my comments embedded just to make it easier and not frustrate anyone.

Thanks for your comment!! (I can't find embedded though?) I went to settings, and comments -and it just shows the comments, but I couldn't find where to change to embedded? Glad to know you can just ignore it though!! Thanks again!!
Hey AJ, glad to see you are spreading the word. Hopefully if enough people know, it will ease the current frustration.
I had avoided embedding the comments because for a long time, when I'd go to a blog with an embedded comment and had a question, the 'notify by email' check box wouldn't work. I think it is now but I'll leave it as a pop up for a while and hope for the best.
